What is the significance of my Low Handicap Index?
What does Low HI mean next to my Handicap Index?
The Low Handicap Index represents the player's best demonstrated ability over the prior 365-days preceding the player's most recent score, and serves as an anchor point to which all of the player's subsequent Indexes are compared. If the player's Handicap Index increases over 3.0 strokes over their established Low HI, the WHS capping procedure (Rule of Handicapping 5.8) will be triggered.
