What does slope rating mean?
Slope Rating® is the measurement of the relative difficulty for players who are not scratch golfers, compared to the Course Rating. Calculating Slope considers how yardage and obstacles come into play for the less-skilled golfers. This calculation is made between Course Rating and Bogey Rating. This is a whole number between 55 (probably a short, “executive” length course) and 155 (“I should have played forward” tee). Slope Rating is used to calculate the golfer’s Course Handicap.
