What is a Penalty Score? Asking for a friend.
I see a Type P score in my handicap record. What does this mean?
A Penalty score (Score Type P) is one that is posted at the discretion of the club Handicap Committee for a player who does not submit an acceptable score when required (Rule of Handicapping 7.1b). A penalty score is not par, rather represents the lowest or highest Score Differential in the player's record.
